P3: The Poetry and Painting Project is a community conversation between one poet, Lora-Ellen McKinney, and 15 “painters” responding to poems assigned to them.  Painters are any type of artist – vocalists, singer-songwriters, actors, rappers, sculptors, mixed media artists, quilters, and storytellers. Painters range in age from 13 to mid-80’s, and are multi-racial, multi-national, and multigendered. The artists are undiscovered, newly discovered, or have been famous for varied amounts of time.
