Hale's Ales Palladium

About Hale's Ales Palladium

One rainy Spring evening in 2004, Mike and Kathleen Hale were out delivering a donated keg of Hale’s Ales to a new arts festival in Fremont called the Moisture Festival. The Hale’s were warmly met by Artistic Director Ron W. Bailey and seated at a table to watch the “Dancing Bear Asses” perform. It was zany and hilarious. The Hale’s suggested to Ron that he may want to look at their event spaces for any future shows. A few days later, Ron and friends showed up at Hale’s and and presented his idea of what he thought he could do with the space to make it a theatre for the Moisture Festival. A handshake later and Ron was given the go ahead. Hale’s had been talking about using the warehouse for music performances and when Ron made his presentation it just “clicked”; It seemed like a good start for this idea for the warehouse. As the years have gone by, the transformation of the warehouse into what is now known as the Palladium has been gradual and organic. Every year we will see new additions, new lights, a larger stage, or a new entrance and new and different shows. No longer just for the Moisture Festival, the Palladium is now home to many performance companies and music shows.
